Contact & Ordering Details

Alan Austin (AMBIS Engineering)

After many years in Ilford, Essex we moved on 2nd August 2011 to

80 Westgate Street

Shouldham

KINGS LYNN

Norfolk

PE33 0BH

We can still be contacted by e-mail: <ajaustin27_at_gmail.com> (please convert_at_to a symbol)

AMBIS is mail order ONLY, we are not a shop but we had regularly attended a number of shows every year until 2019.
It is best to request the availability of items in any order before submitting any payment as there can be unexpected out-of-stock situations.
Many items, particularly the building details, will not be regularly restocked but will move to an order only status once stock levels are exhausted.
The cost of etching has recently risen considerably so re-stocked items are likely to be more expensive than by just a general inflation factor.

Our local PO now opens 4 days each week - Monday-Thursday, so there can be delays in despatching orders..

Payment can be made to either AMBIS Engineering or Alan Austin.  We can accept Payal, BACS money or cheques.
Normally we will only cash cheques once the requested items have been dispatched.

In 2022 we decided to personally withdraw from exhibitions after Scaleforum 2022, although we are seeking to involve the scale societies in maintaining a service at shows.
However we agreed to personally attend Railex 2023 on 27 and 28 May and Scaleforum 2023 on 23 and 24 September.

We will now be concentrating on product development and working on our own project (see January 2019 Railway Modeller, Plan of the Month)

The shows we had regularly attended in recent years were:

CMRA Show, Stevenage (second weekend in January, last occurred in January 2019, appears to have no plans to resume)

Scalefour North, Wakefield (about Easter, by 2022 no plans exist to resume this event, next location - Crewe)

   EXPO-EM, Spring - Bracknell, (mid-May, returned in 2022)

Railex, Aylesbury, (hall availability had restricted resumption for 2022, but is now fixed from 2023)

EXPO-EM, Autumn - Wakefield (switched to end of August 2022 at new locations)

Scaleforum (end of September, moved to High Wycombe 2022 and for 2023)

Whilst we will try to keep these external links up to date, if these are broken please contact us.
